Common questions

My workouts aren't showing up

PookaTrek gets your workouts from Apple Health. Open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps, then PookaTrek, and turn on the data you'd like to share. New workouts then appear below the map on the Activity tab.

If you record workouts on an Apple Watch or another app, make sure they're saved to Apple Health too.

Which activities count?

Walks, runs, hikes, rides, swims, rows, wheelchair pushes, skiing and more: anything recorded in Apple Health with a distance. Your daily steps count as well. They add up to a step bonus you can put toward your route.

I use a wheelchair

Turn on Wheelchair Mode in Settings → Movement Mode. PookaTrek then counts your pushes and wheelchair distance instead of steps.

How do I move along a route?

Tap a workout below the map on the Activity tab to add it to your route. Its distance moves you along, and the Pooka stops at places on the way.

Can I take the welcome tour again?

Yes. Go to Settings → Welcome Tour → Take the Tour Again. It adds another Dublin walk to your routes and leaves your own routes and walks as they are.

Does PookaTrek send my health data or location anywhere?

No. Both stay on your device. See the privacy policy for exactly what the app sends, and to whom.

How do I delete my data?

Everything PookaTrek keeps is on your device, so deleting the app deletes it. There's no account to close.
